First Friday!
We had a
great first week of class! First we
learned the rules and expectations of our class.
W e had fun getting to know one another by playing several fun games! We
even played a “Who was It?” game.
We learned that many of our friends like the same things and have the same hobbies! Some of you like to play soccer, others football. Many of you like to cuddle up in a quiet place and read a good book! I enjoyed learning about all of you and cannot wait to learn more as the year goes on.

We learned our check in procedures, and where tools and supplies are kept
in our classroom. We helped decorate a
bulletin board by making pennants ( 3rd/4th ) and I
am a superhero sheets (1st
and 2nd grade).

In Math we will have a pre-assessment on the Wednesday, and start lessons on Thursday. We discussed what a pre- assessment is; that It is a test that tells me what you ALREADY know!

Word Nerds
Occasionally, you will use a dictionary to find the meaning of the words,
sometimes it will be Greek roots. I
promise a hodge podge of challenges!
This will vary from logic puzzles to challenging math problems for all
grades.
**If your child brings in the correct answer to either of these challenges,
they will get to pick from the prize box, as well as have their names published
in the blog for the next week! As
challenges get harder, rewards will get bigger!
A great first week was had by all!
